Navigating Conflicts of Interest at UMD: Keeping Your Research Above Question and Your Career on Track

Description: Conflicts of interest (COI) are quite common in a university environment, and should be managed due to the fact that COI have the potential to threaten the integrity of the university's research, scholarship, instruction, and administrative functions. Please join to learn about what constitutes COI, how and when to disclose potential COI, and the importance of following a COI management plan to ensure research integrity. Topics covered will include: university policy, what/when/how to disclose, managing potential conflicts, handling tricky situations, resources at UMD.
